BIO: 
Leia is new to rescue so we are still learning about her personality but here is what we know so far: Leia is very personable and attaches quickly to her human. She seems to get along well with dogs of all sizes and breeds. She is looking for an active home because she is extremely energetic. We do not feel that she would do well in a home that does not have the time to dedicate to her exercise needs. She should be walked daily and allowed to run freely in a yard. She is housetrained to go out in a fenced yard without a leash and does so willingly. Leia is also extremely vocal and therefore would not be a good fit for an adopter living in a condo or apartment. 
Once Leia has attached to you she will follow you everywhere. She is a very loyal and loving girl that would make a wonderful companion. Leia is also very food driven which makes her more easily trainable but also makes her more mischievous. She is extremely agile and has been caught in the act of jumping onto chairs and tables to search for food. Beware she will steal your lunch and also your heart.

We encourage adopters from all over the Greater New England Area and will do our absolute best to accommodate you in arranging for transportation if you choose to adopt a dog from FDR. If your dog of choice is coming from a state other than the one you reside in, there will be an additional $60.00 Health Certificate Fee that is required by law.
