Keeper is a beautiful silver dapple with solid blue eyes. She is a very sweet girl, who seems to mostly, follow other dogs leads. She came from a home with several other dachshunds but like the others has no social skills and requires training. Keeper has come a long way both in behavior and trust. It has taken several months to get her to come out of her shell and interact with people. So far she has displayed interest in interacting with women but will bark at men. She has never been aggressive towards a man but it seems that she is fearful and thus will bark in protest of her discomfort. Keeper is still skittish and is not leash and harness trained yet. A few attempts have been made in a secure yard and she gets extremely nervous and scared. She will attempt to back out of her harness or twist in her leash. Because of this reason we are requiring that she be adopted into a home with a secure, physical fenced yard. We will not consider a home without a fenced yard.
