Litte Krista is such a bright little star! She is so happy and always excited about starting a new day. She is very cuddly and will do a little tap dance next to your chair so that you will pick her up and hold her. She loves to be held tight and will sleep in your arms all afternoon. Krista is a quiet older girl and needs a quiet home with no small children. She is very petite and will need to be carried up and down stairs. She loves to sleep in the big bed and will rest her little head on your shoulder. Krista came to me from a shelter in GA where she had been dropped off. She has a dry right eye that she cannot see out of but causes her no pain; she gets over the counter tear replacement eye drops twice a day to keep it lubricated and comfortable. All of her tiny little teeth were rotted and she had to have 12 removed. She will need to eat soft food for the rest of her life. Krista will be the perfect companion. She can find a furever home with you if your heart and home are open.

We encourage adopters from all over the United States and will do our absolute best to accommodate you in arranging for transportation if you choose to adopt a dachshund from FDR. If your dachshund of choice is coming from a state other than the one you reside in, there will be an additional $40.00 Health Certificate Fee that is required by law.
