TinTin is a long hair dachshund mix. His mother, a red purebred dachshund, and his four other siblings were dumped at a high kill shelter.  He was saved with his family but he had to fight Parvo, kennel cough and worms. He is doing great now and is just a cute little puppy. He plays with his sister and all of his foster furfriends.  He is really fast and runs around and loves to be the center of attention.  He is extremely smart and only had to watch the older dogs climb the ramp to the bed one time then he knew how to do it.  TinTin is learning how to potty outside and is really enjoying the warm days when he gets to spend lots of time outside. He would need a home that would be able to dedicate time to teaching him house manners and continue to work on housetraining.  It would be hard for him to be alone 8 hours a day so he is looking for a home where his family can be home to take care of him most of the day or a home that would be willing to put him in doggie daycare. We encourage adopters from all over the United States and will do our absolute best to accommodate you in arranging for transportation if you choose to adopt a dachshund from FDR. If your dachshund of choice is coming from a state other than the one you reside in, there will be an additional $40.00 Health Certificate Fee that is required by law.
