BIO: (07.27.12)

Check the photo above of the handsome Black & Tan Smoothie dachshund -- it is me, Ratchet.  I’m only 1-1/2 yrs old so I’m still out-growing my puppy-ness.  And yet, I’m already completely house-trained, crate-trained (though well behaved without the crate), good with children, fluent in small male/female dog-ese, and can even converse with cats and ferrets.  I’m a multi-species communicator!  That said, I really would prefer less competition and would be perfectly happy being your only furry angel, or with maybe just one other small doggie buddy. I can fulfill your every furr kidd need and am totally up to the task.  Being near my human floats my boat, especially if we’re outside, enjoying the fresh air together.  That’s the best!  Foster mom says I’m just about perfect except for the little curve in my back that I was born with – maybe there just wasn’t enough room inside my momma so I curled myself like a comma to give the others more space.  It doesn’t affect my running or playing or chasing or cuddling – it’s just like wart on a nose or like those doggies with one blue/one brown eye.  We’re all just as lovable, just as special in our own way. Foster mom hugs me and says “No one is perfect, human or doggie or kitty”… I’m a happy little guy who will fit in anywhere and respect the space of others.  I just want a furever home like Foster Mom is promising – where there are no worries, my humans are happy with me and with the world and I can give furry hugs and slurpy licks every day for the rest of my life.  I’m ready, willing and able to provide unconditional love.   Do you have a furever home for me, please – with my special place by your side?  I can be packed and ready to go in the wiggle of a puppy butt….

BIO:

Hi Everyone, It’s me, Ratchet.  I am still a baby sort of because I am only 1.5 years old.   I am totally vetted and neutered (whatever that means).    I am such a handsome boy along with the fact that I am almost totally housebroken, crated trained submissive, and sweet. I love attention and being played with, and chasing the other foster dogs in the house.  I get along well with other dogs, respecting the pack order here. My foster Mom says that my other family really really loved me but just could not take care of me anymore. My foster Mom also says I am perfect in every way even though I have a slight curve in my back (I was born with). I am searching for my forever home Foster Mom has promised me…do you think I am the one you are yearning for? I will be waiting here to hear from you.
