BIO:

 Riley is a awesome little man.  He is a spunky happy boy. He gets along great with my other 2 doxies (13 and 4 years old). Riley loves to play cat and mouse with my african grey parrot while his high upon his perch.  You would never guess that Riley is 13 years young.  He is fully house trained, no seperation anxiety, no food aggression.  Riley is not a big fan of the crate though so I would recommend that he go to a home that would not crate him.  He loves to snuggle with his humans and foster sisters in a comfy big bed where he will sleep all night long.  Riley is a great car passenger and would do great for anyone that travels.  I am trying to get him to walk a little better on a leash.  He doesn't mind the leash, he just wants to go where he wants to go with but with the help of treats he does great.  Riley is a good eater (aren't all dachshunds?).  He is a true gem.  As his foster mom, I have yet to find any true negatives about this little boy.  If you want a stress free, easy going guy, Riley is your furbaby!  Please fill out an application to give him his furever home.

We encourage adopters from all over the United States and will do our absolute best to accommodate you in arranging for transportation if you choose to adopt a dachshund from FDR. If your dachshund of choice is coming from a state other than the one you reside in, there will be an additional $40.00 Health Certificate Fee that is required by law.
