BIO:

Hi, I’m Ella Kate, and even through all I have experienced you will find I am by far one of the sweetest tempered girls you will ever meet. I love to be cuddled, kissed, pet, walked and just paid attention to! I still take my time getting to know people and find that once I know you and know I can really trust you, I will love you 100%! When I came into foster care, I had 5 little babies to take care of and had never really had a family of my own.   I also had heartworms and had to endure heartworm treatment.
My foster family has opened my eyes to love and understanding and so badly wishes for a Furever family of my very own! I just want to be loved, give love and have a happy family! I think I will do better with fur-siblings as I have never really been alone and really enjoy company around the clock; I’ll even share my bed with the right fur brother or sister.
I am a happy eater, and have gotten used to have yummy, balanced meals on a schedule.  I love to frolic and play with both fur and human friends, I will chase toys and bring them back to you if I so chose. If I am left to my own device, I will make little holes, not to be malicious, but just to see what I might find. My foster mom finds that it is much better to put me out to potty and have me come on back inside, otherwise I might just make it to China!
Taking me for a walk is a pleasure as I like to stay with you and explore with you. I will be your friend to the end if only you will show me you love me as much as I love you!  Please fill out an adoption application so you can be my furever home!

We encourage adopters from all over the United States and will do our absolute best to accommodate you in arranging for transportation if you choose to adopt a dachshund from FDR. If your dachshund of choice is coming from a state other than the one you reside in, there will be an additional $40.00 Health Certificate Fee that is required by law.
