Lacy is a wonderful black and tan dachshund mix.  Although, she is a mixed girl, she still thinks she’s full doxie.  She is VERY VERY sweet.  She LOVES all people big or little, all she wants in life is someone to please.  Lacy has a lot of energy, so a home with children would be great for her, or an active family.  She is kind, patient and loves the outdoors.  Lacy is a fast learner and has made friends with foster mom’s other doggies very quickly.  She also got the hang of a doggie door overnight.  Lacy loves to play with her toys and run through the yard as fast as she can, but her favorite toys are the ones that squeak.  Unlike most dachshunds, Lacy does well with baths and being brushed/groomed which is great because she has an undercoat that requires some care weekly.  At the end of the day, Lacy likes to cuddle with her humans.  She does great in a crate, but when she goes to her furever home, she would do just as well being trusted in the home without one.  Lacy does jump, but she is so small that it is almost unnoticeable.  However, we are working with her on that, even though she only seems to jump as soon as you first greet her.  Lacy knows her name and is fully housebroken, she listens well to commands.  Only if you give Lacy a chance at a furever home, will you then find out how truly amazing this little girl is.  Please give Lacy her furever home by filling out an adoption application today!

Lacy is a beautiful black and tan dachshund mix.  She is VERY VERY sweet.  She LOVES all people big or little, all she wants in life is someone to please and someone to simply touch her.  Lacey is extremely high energy and would need a home that could offer her lots of exercise and play time.  Although she has lots of energy she can also be a wonderful cuddle bug.  She loves to play with toys and other dogs.  Lacy can run like I have never seen before.  When Lacy came to our house she knew her name and was already housebroken.  She learns extremely quickly.  Lacey can be trusted to sleep in the big bed or she is content with sleeping in her crate.  She is a rare and simply amazing little girl.  She is kind, patient and loves the outdoors. Unlike most dachshunds, Lacy does well with baths and being brushed/groomed which is great because she has an undercoat that requires some care weekly. She will do well with children a bit older due to her high energy. She has a habit that we are working on....she is a jumper!!  Everyone who meets Lacy falls in love with her and can picture her having tea and playing dress up with her future kids. If your dachshund of choice is coming from a state other than the one you reside in, there will be an additional $40.00 Health Certificate Fee that is required by law.
