Bio: (07.01.2012)

Georgie is a joy.  At one and a half years old, he's old enough to listen but still very much a puppy. He is chock full of energy, constantly going 90/mph. All he wants to do all day long is play play play. My two year old doxie mix aLexi is in love with him and couldn't be happier to have found such a willing playmate, but she's finally met her match, and even she sometimes lets poor Georgie know she needs a break. Even with the verbal warnings from the other dogs though, stubborn and confident, Georgie never backs down. He takes everything in stride. I don't think he realizes what a pest the other dogs sometimes see him as because he just refuses to give up! He would be a wonderful pet for an active family or at least, one with children. I wouldn't suggest very young children though because Georgie hasn't yet learned not to use his teeth when he plays with people. He has never shown any signs of aggression, but he's yet to learn his manners and can sometimes play a little too roughly. If you can get him to calm down for a few minutes, Georgie can be very loving and will cuddle right up to you with plenty of kisses to give. I've noticed when he sleeps with you, he always seems to be on alert. He doesn't bark excessively, but you'll notice his little ears perk up at every noise and his eyes are always open and looking around. If he were bigger I'd say he'd be a great little watchdog! Of course he hasn't a clue that he isn't a big dog and has absolutely no fear! He can be very stubborn, but he does listen when corrected- you may just have to repeat it a couple of times! Georgie is completely potty-trained. He loves toys and loves to chew things-  just be sure he's got plenty of his own toys to play with until he learns that your things are off-limits! Georgie tries to be obedient but seems to suffer from short-term memory loss because he forgets what he's not supposed to do five minutes after you tell him, hahaha! This loyal boy wants to follow his people everywhere they go and may try to bolt through the door the moment you open it to leave, but he usually will not try to run away and will return to you if you drop down and call him back to you. Anything for a kiss! This little boy is ready for his Furever home. Give him a chance- with lots of love and patience, you won't be disappointed!

BIO:

Georgie is a happy young boy who is very high energy. He loves everyone and gets along with kids older than 8 years old who know how to respect animals! He loves to chase squirrels and has a high prey drive so would not do well with cats. He loves his foster sister and plays with her all of the time.  He is very uncomplicated and a funny, furry bundle of energy to have around. If you have room for this extraordinary young man, please fill out an application so he can become a part of your furever family!
