BIO: 
My name is Khloe and I was found as a stray with my four puppies in Contra Costa County, CA. My puppies and I were scheduled to be euthanized because I was fiercely protective of my babies. Thankfully a wonderful foster picked me up right away and brought me home. She gave me a safe, warm, loving home to raise my puppies. Now that my puppies are on their own I am no longer aggressive towards people trying to approach them. I am still skittish but come around quickly when people show interest and affection. I am currently in a foster home with other dogs and get along well with everyone. I am not assertive and would not be considered an “alpha” dog. I would do well with a canine companion but a people companion would make me very happy too! I want to be loved and I want to love someone back. Do you think that I might be a great companion for you?

We encourage adopters from all over Northern California and the Greater New England Area and will do our absolute best to accommodate you in arranging for transportation if you choose to adopt a dachshund from FDR. If your dachshund of choice is coming from a state other than the one you reside in, there will be an additional $60.00 Health Certificate Fee that is required by law.
