Carlee is a beautiful deep dark red Dachshund.  She was a prior breeder dog that was turned into the shelter when they were finished breeding her.  She is a wonderful girl. Carlee is housetrained, walks great on a leash and is a true love bug.  She would need to be in a home where she could be the alpha dog.  She is very confident with people she knows but is very timid with strangers.  Once she knows them, they are in for lots of loving.  She gets along with other dogs and would love a buddy that she could play with but they would have to let her be the leader!  She would do wonderful in a home that would walk her several times a day because she loves to walk.  Her dream furever home would have a big fenced in back yard and a doggie door that she could go out and chase the squirrels and lay in the sun!  Carlee likes tear the stuffing out of stuffed animals so if you have them be prepared to pick up the mess!  Carlee loves to sleep with you in the bed.  Although she is kenneled trained she has missed out on several years of loving and at night when she lays in the bed with you she wants to touch you to make sure you are there.  Carlee would make a great addition to any home! If your dachshund of choice is coming from a state other than the one you reside in, there will be an additional $40.00 Health Certificate Fee that is required by law.
